Fun ThingsNovember 19, 2011
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Location: Old Town Square

The holidays are just around the corner and all of downtown is preparing for Santa’s arrival. Jolly old St. Nick will make his first appearance at Old Town Square in a horse drawn carriage at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Get into the holiday spirit by dressing up in elf caps or your holiday costume to greet Santa and join him as he parades around downtown. Santa will be listening to children’s holiday wishes until 6:00 p.m. that day. All of the day’s activities are FREE and open to the public.

Santa Workshop hours are as follows: 12p.m. – 6p.m. Wednesday through Sunday from November 19 to December 24. Santa also speaks Spanish and Sign Language.

The Downtown Business Association will be offering holiday activities for kids to do with Santa this year, including “Storytime with Santa” where Santa reads stories every Thursday and Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Downtown’s Clothes Pony Store (111 N. College). “Skating with Santa” will also be offered every Saturday from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Old Town Ice Skating Rink.

Each day Old Town Square will be filled with the music of Santa’s concertina and harmonica, and in the quieter moments, kids of all ages can share their secret wishes with him in his cozy holiday workshop in the Old Town Square. A professional photographer will be on hand during regular hours to capture those unforgettable moments with Santa.
