AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 30, 2010) —According to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Home Buyer/Seller StudySM, Keller Williams Realty, Inc., the third largest real estate company in the United States, has received the highest overall satisfaction ratings from home buyers among the largest full-service real estate firms for the third year in a row. The company also ranked second among home sellers in the study for the second year in a row.
“We are incredibly proud of our associates for earning this distinction and want to thank them for their commitment to their clients and communities,” said Mark Willis, CEO of Keller Williams Realty. “We see this honor as demonstration of our company philosophy that it is the agent’s brand that matters most and no amount of money spent on advertising can replace the influence and reputations our agents have in their local communities. Our associates have earned this on their own, by building relationships in their communities.”
The study was produced by J.D. Power and Associates to measure home buyers and sellers customer satisfaction. The results of the home-buying experience were determined by three factors including the buyer’s experience with their agent, the real estate office and a variety of additional services. Keller Williams Realty performed particularly well in the agent and office factors. And, overall satisfaction of buyers for the industry was up over last year.
Additionally, the study noted that the importance of real estate agents has increased substantially in the past year, with buyers and sellers relying on the negotiating skills of their chosen agent and help in navigating the market.
“It is thrilling to see our firm, once again, get public recognition for its incredible focus on customer satisfaction from such a prestigious group. Our associates continually demonstrate that it is possible to deliver the highest level of customer service in one of the toughest real estate markets on record,” said Mary Tennant, president and COO of Keller Williams Realty. “We feel incredibly fortunate to be in business with them, and want to congratulate them on their hard work and dedication.”
In the past year, Keller Williams Realty has continued to grow despite the well-publicized turmoil in the real estate industry. In addition to becoming the 3rd largest real estate company in the U.S., surpassing RE/MAX®, Keller Williams Realty was ranked as the No. 1 real estate franchise on the 31st Annual Franchise 500 list by Entrepreneur magazine and was voted the Most Recognizable Brand of Real Estate Franchises and the Trendsetter of the year for 2009 in an industry-wide survey for the Swanepoel TRENDS Report.
Cell phones, laptops and other electronic devices were shutdown last Thursday as over 50 agents from Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado stepped out of the office and into their communities to participate in the 2nd annual RED Day. RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a Keller Williams Realty international service initiative dedicated to improving local communities.
For the second year in a row, Keller Williams’ agents from the Fort Collins office partnered with Putnam Elementary for RED Day. Agents read with students, constructed art projects and decorated for the school’s Fiesta de Mayo event being held that evening. The service day was coordinated by David Timm of Keller Williams Realty. Timm is one of a group of agents that serve as weekly volunteers at the school. “Over 80% of the students at Putnam Elementary are on free or reduced lunches while 25% of the students’ families are homeless. On RED Day, it was great to come in as a group and make the day fun for the students and support the great teachers and staff,” said Timm. “I look forward to continuing to support Putnam so everyday might be RED Day!”
Fort Collins agents were joined in the day of service by colleagues from their Loveland and Greeley offices. Loveland agents divided into two groups, one of which packaged items for H.E.L.P. International and the other hung drywall for Loveland Habitat for Humanity. Greeley agents headed out as one group and tackled home improvement projects for local community member that could not complete the work otherwise. They also brought gifts to a local nursing home. “Overall the day was a great success and provided a wonderful opportunity for our agents to work together for a good cause,” concluded Rick Kness, Team Lead of the Keller Williams Realty Fort Collins office.

AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 21, 2009) — Keller Williams Realty joined the ranks of the top franchises in the world last week, when the company was ranked as the No. 1 real estate franchise on the 31st Annual Franchise 500 list by Entrepreneur magazine. During the same week, the company was also voted the Most Recognizable Brand of Real Estate Franchises for 2009 in an industry-wide survey for the Swanepoel TRENDS Report.
“The Swanepoel TRENDS Report is a respected source for the real estate industry and beyond, as is Entrepreneur magazine, and we are excited to see our agents honored in this way for all of their hard work,” said Mark Willis, CEO, Keller Williams Realty. “We certainly wouldn’t have been included on either list without the dedication and resolve of our agents.”
According to the ranking in Entrepreneur magazine, the most important criteria to determine the top franchises included financial strength and stability, as well as growth rate and size of the franchise system. The magazine also looked at the number of years the company has been in business and the length of time it’s been franchising, in addition to start-up costs and financial data. Additionally, Keller Williams Realty made an impressive showing on the overall list, placing higher than any other real estate franchise.
The Swanepoel TRENDS Report is published by Stefan Swanepoel, a real estate industry speaker and insider. The survey was crafted to determine the Most Recognizable Brand for Real Estate Franchises for his report out in February 2010. The survey included votes cast by 11,000 plus real estate agents, who cast 390,000 votes to select the top 10.
Earlier in the year,Keller Williams Realty also received the highest overall satisfaction ratings from home buyers among the largest full-service real estate firms from J.D. Power and Associates for the second year in a row.
“We are extremely proud that our associates and company are being recognized for our strength and stability during this time in our industry,” said Mary Tennant, president and COO, Keller Williams Realty. “We attribute our success to being in business with phenomenal people and to our core business models, which have allowed our franchises to thrive during any market.”
Chili–noun, plural chil-ies
A pungent pot of many good things normally including spices, beef/pork, lentils, pepper(s), and garlic.
Recently, our northern Colorado market center held our annual KW Cares chili cook off. And the competition was HOT! We had a tie for first place this year between Assistant Team Leader David Fredlake and resident rock star real estate agent Jimmy Aron. I was able to catch up with Jimmy for his take on the competition:
“Some of the competition was pretty tough. There were 12 different flavors and styles to be tried. Not an easy task for the taster’s to try them all and remember which one they liked the best. My hat is off to those who could and then voted upon their decision. Can’t honestly say I was out to win or defend the title but rather to have some fun and offer my best. In this case it worked out that mine, and David’s, were remembered the most and I’m honored to be included in the tie for first. I’m willing to guess the competition next year will be a whole lot tougher for all. Should be fun!”
